still the adventures of Huckleberry Finn
So this is actually a pretty good book. Its an adventure based on luck with a wide variety of characters. I like Huck alot, he is wiser than his years and seems to have an answer to everything. I read for hours last night just caught up in the storyline. Theyre is always something happening. One charecter i really could not handle was Huck's dad i kinda wish he would just get hit by a car(: I dont have many complaints but do have to admit that Jim's dialect slows me down and it would be nice if he talked less. ( no disrespect intended.) Oh and I almost forgot to mention the lady in the cabin whom Huck goes to visit about a quarter of the way throught the book. I like her, she was funny... Oh and I got a kick out of Huck and Jim stealing the band of murderer's boat and loote. I sound like that Martin minute guy off of tv. Maybe its called a Waltin Minute? oh well.

Try reading Jim's parts outloud. That helps me because I too, no matter how many times I read this book, struggle and slow down when Jim beings to speak. But if you read it outloud, you will hear his voice much clearer.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHA i wish he would of got hit by a car too:( but insted he got shot... I agree with you that the lady at the cabin was very funny but my favorite part has to be when Jim and Huck first start their journey together down the river and they talk about how the stars got in the sky.

I agree with Destiny when she says that the setting of the novel in significant. I mentioned in my blog that the time setting was important because of the racism and way of communication.
